The area, close to the sea, is in drought yet the few cattle seem to find a place to graze. I was drawn to capture the golden wheat-colour of the rolling hills and the unique golden gumtrees sheltering the cattle. A small but meaningful sketch.

I had been painting for about 3 months, watching tutorials on uou tube, practicing different techniques. I was feeling confident. I had a blank sheet and some inspirational pictures around me and started to build a picture. Once the flow came it was like a wave, not stopping until I wad happy, finishing it off with the bee in the flower. I love bees. Felt overjoyed at my achievement in this piece.
